2020 NAMICon Scholarship Opportunity

We are thrilled to announce that through a generous grant from an anonymous donor, NAMI is providing full scholarships to at least 25 NAMI members nationwide wishing to participate in the 2020 NAMI National Convention (NAMICon – Atlanta, GA July 15-18) who would not be able to attend due to travel costs or financial hardship. NAMI Oregon will select two Oregon NAMI members from those who apply to nominate for the scholarship, which will cover full NAMICon registration (including Saturday’s banquet), a 5-night hotel stay, air travel, ground transportation, meals, and incidentals.

NAMI members 18 years old and older from all Oregon NAMI affiliates are eligible to apply. While applicants need not fall into one of the following categories, NAMI is particularly interested in offering this opportunity to emerging/young leaders and members of underrepresented groups by dimensions of diversity such as age, race, disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, and rural location.

Competed applications must be received by NAMI Oregon by 5:00 pm Monday April 13 and can be submitted 3 ways:

  • Scan and email as a PDF to pete@namior.org
  • Fax to 503-230-2751
  • Mail to NAMI Oregon, 4701 SE 24th Ave., Suite E, Portland, OR 97202

Applications must be complete and include the applicant’s signature on page 4. Please type applications if possible. Applications that are incomplete, not legible, or lack a signature may be disqualified. For questions, contact NAMI Oregon Education Programs Manager Peter Link at 503-230-8009 or pete@namior.org.
